Sports

If you fancy representing the University in a competitive sport, or trying something new recreationally, our sports programme has something for everyone. The Athletic Union (AU) runs over 15 competitive and recreational sports clubs across the Walsall and Wolverhampton campuses and is open to anyone of any ability.

Membership of these clubs is open to current students of the University of Wolverhampton with Student Sports Cards. It costs £26 for a Sports Card and approximately a further £30 to join a club (this is confirmed via club membership). This low cost for the academic year covers personal Endsleigh insurance for participation, facilities, equipment, professional coaching and transport expenses to fixtures, competitions and training events.

Sport is a huge part of your university experience. It can help improve your physical fitness and to form great new friendships. AU clubs compete in British Universities and Colleges Sport (BUCS), local leagues and regional competitions.  With a little of your commitment and the dedication of our professional coaches and instructors, WLV Sport is sure to be an experience you will never forget. All our coaches and instructors have immense pride and passion to train students within our sports clubs and help them to realise their goals.

If you want to get involved come along to the AU office at Walsall Campus and speak to your Sports Officer or Activities VP. Alternatively go along and speak to one of the AU coaches or instructors at a club training session.
