October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month so help us to raise funds and support world-class research to improve breast cancer diagnosis and treatment.
We are dedicating a day to fundraising and would like all staff and students of the University of Wolverhampton to take part in our Wear it Pink for Breast Cancer day.
Come along to City Campus on Friday 30th October between 10am and 4pm and get involved with any of the following fundraising activities:
• Win an iPod Nano!
Buy a raffle ticket and be in with a chance of winning an 8GB Silver iPod Nano. Look out for the Volunteering Squad with their donation buckets throughout the day!
• ‘Wear it Pink’ day
Dress in pink items of clothing or accessories for the day.
• Pink Tea Party
Come along to The Lounge on City Campus, 11am-1pm for a tea party complete with a selection of cakes, biscuits and fun and games with your Executive Officers.
• Pink Pamper Tent
Visit us in our pamper tent in the courtyard on City Campus and treat yourself to some complimentary and beauty therapy. Our Complementary Therapy Society will be on hand offering head, neck, shoulder and hand massages. Our Volunteering Squad will also be assisting with painting finger nails and streaking hair (pink of course!) with temporary hair spray.
• Pink Ribbon Message Board
Write a short message for a relative or loved one who has suffered with cancer and help us build our ribbon message board. We will display this board in the SU on City Campus after the event.
All proceeds raised on the day will be donated by the Students’ Union to Cancer Research UK.
