So you've just arrived in Walsall and you haven't a clue what it's all about. Your only guide is the glossy mailout the Uni sent you as an enticement to study here (guess it worked). Here's what you can expect from Walsall - the good, the bad and the ugly.
You've probably moved into Halls and are wondering why the new buildings are still 12 months from completion. Never mind, Walsall Campus has a fantastic community environment; everyone gets to know each other very quickly so it won't be long before you've got mates knocking on your door to go to the SU bar.
We also have a new Sports Centre. With athletics track and Astroturf, I'm sure you'll agree that these new facilities are really world class!
Next to the Sports Centre is our Learning Centre, with useful resources such as library and free internet access. You'll find our shop on the Ground Floor of the SU building, which tries to cater for everything from microwave meals to University clothing. Above there's a café, if you find the Refectory too expensive for lunch.
Like Telford, Compton and City Campus, you can catch the free Uni Bus back and forth between the four locations, so get to know the timetable ASAP. Trains and Buses (and soon Metro) to Birmingham run regularly. The 51 bus brings you straight there, its stop is just off the Gorway Road.
